Injecting Innovation into a Quality City
The Baoding National University Science Park Innovation Branch (hereinafter referred to as the Innovation Branch) is a key project in Baoding, a landmark of innovation in the National High-Tech Zone. It serves as a critical support for achieving innovative, green, and high-quality development. The project spans approximately 305 acres, with a total investment of about 4 billion yuan.
Guided by the principles of “green, intelligent, high-end, and leading,” the Innovation Branch accommodates diverse business types, including headquarters offices and integrated office-factory spaces, catering to different enterprises’ needs. The aim is to establish a strategic emerging industry innovation base and a green, intelligent, low-carbon demonstration park in Baoding. By building a multi-dimensional operational service platform and leveraging intellectual support from universities and research institutions, the project focuses on technological innovation to foster high-quality economic and social development, contributing to Baoding’s vision as a city of quality living.
Sleek and Elegant Glass Curtain Walls
Excessive Lighting Leads to Energy Spikes
The Innovation Branch extensively uses glass curtain walls, seamlessly integrating architectural aesthetics, functionality, and structural design. This design is lightweight, visually appealing, and highly artistic.
However, it comes with challenges. Increased heat radiation and UV penetration result in a “greenhouse effect,” trapping heat indoors. This necessitates the use of high-power air conditioning, escalating energy consumption. Additionally, sunlight reflecting off the glass curtain walls during sunny seasons causes light pollution, impacting the surrounding environment. The glare can also cause visual discomfort, making it difficult for occupants to work comfortably.

Effective Shading, Precise Light Control
To address the issues of overheating and excessive lighting in summer, ULE PANDA aluminum Venetian blinds were custom-installed on the southern and western glass curtain walls of floors 2-4. Their minimalist design and custom colors enhance the building’s façade aesthetics.
These blinds are used in offices, meeting rooms, and fitness areas, creating a comfortable indoor light and thermal environment. With a shading and heat insulation rate exceeding 85%, they provide excellent cooling and shading in summer, while retaining warmth in winter. This significantly reduces air conditioning energy consumption and lighting costs.
The slats of the Venetian blinds can be adjusted at multiple angles to precisely control the amount of natural light entering the room. They prevent direct sunlight while allowing soft light to filter in, minimizing screen glare and improving focus and efficiency. Furthermore, they maintain privacy, ensuring that business meetings and activities are shielded from outside view without compromising natural light.
The blinds are zoned by functional areas, with remote control support for individual products or one-touch control of entire office or meeting room setups. This convenient operation simplifies daily management for the park.
